Repeatedly telling people to visit your site does not work

Nobody is going to stumble onto your website on their own, and posting "check out my website" over and over on social media is not your best shot at traffic. The traffic comes from making the link easy to find and from being someone people get curious about.

Add share buttons to blog posts

If you have started a blog on your site about your career or anything else you are passionate about, put share buttons or click-to-tweet buttons on each post. The more readers who share your content, the more eyes land back on your website.

Share their content instead of asking for the click

Share other people's content and engage genuinely with the people you want visiting your site. Do not ask them to check out your website. If the connection is real, they get curious over time and click over on their own.
