"Hollywood" - Rated R - Actor Conspiracy Theories Episode 3

[Music] hello everyone welcome back to another edition of actor conspiracy theories I am Jordan wood Robinson uh I've got a script here I've got it blacked out so all I know is it's from a project called Hollywood and the characters are Harry and Rey that's all I know so far so we're going to get in and we're going to prove this script and I say prove because we're going to logically work through this in a way that we can form firm hypotheses using just the clues that are on the page in a way that is tangible and on our feet and ready to move forward um and we're going to do that with no previous knowledge and with no internet and we're going to do it by triangulating different Clues within the script to justify anything we need to justify which is why we're calling it a conspiracy theory uh before we get into that though a little bit of housekeeping I am going to be I've set myself a challenge to release a new video of actor conspiracy theories every day in the month of May it is currently May 1st 2023 at the time of recording this uh and one of the reasons why is because we have just opened Atlanta book from tape we still have book from tape Orlando and of course we still do our virtual sessions as well but now we have book from tape Atlanta and as a way of celebrating that every day for the month of May I'm going to release a new video of actor conspiracy theories uh and I want to thank everyone who has been responding I read all of the comments I'm going through I'm enjoying reading them and I know I will enjoy reading the comments on this as well if you haven't already found us on YouTube and subscribe to us please do that and you'll get notifications I'm trying to think if there's anything else we have classes starting up in a few short weeks so if you're interested in jumping in on some group classes now is the time I think that's it let's do this actor conspiracy theories let's jump in so first we're going to start with story time a Hollywood ending from Hollywood okay page two scene two uh all right we're gonna come back to all of this stuff that was redacted right now we're just gonna go up to where the casting director has told us to start voice breathless Raymond Ray Raymond turns to see editor Harry Goldman running towards him puffing a cigar way out of breath he stops and puts his hands on his knees waving Raymond over I'm just gonna get my a little marker poo ready here all right okay Harry golden Jesus Christ clean oh okay spoiler or not spoiler but uh sensitive content warning there are some uh there's some heavy language in this so I will put a Content warning in the title of this to let people know but just so you know I am going to read it verbatim as is on the page because there is a reason why these people are saying this it might be uh it might be personal it might be cultural it might be part of the era but there is a reason why these people are saying using these words Jesus Christ clean out your [ __ ] years I'm an old man I can't be running I'll drop dead good place to do it I guess come on walk with me Hollywood Ending full okay Harry leads them in the other direction I wanted to tell you something remember when I bragged about giving it to Gloria Swanson that was way out of line she's still kicking and I've never been one to kiss and tell she was on the rebound Joe Kenny had just dumped her and we'd never stripped anyway I was straight up it was straight up cunnilingus as they arrive at a car is that what you wanted to tell me gotta ask you a question Avis has full control of the studio now right she can to that some [ __ ] lawyer yeah good he pops up in the trunk inside a set of film canisters what's that that's your movie oh what do you mean they burned it I made a print and took it home when that slimy piece of garbage Henry Wilson started [ __ ] with it I knew I had to make a copy of your cut for safe keeping did the same thing with Wizard of Oz idiot producer wanted to cut Somewhere Over the Rainbow if you can believe it I made a print took it home it stayed on the picture it stayed in the picture you know what this means don't you yes I do kid you're still in the game that's that's the whole audition y'all okay so obviously this was at the time this was an audition for Harry golden who uh I'm guessing Rey was a series regular I'm not actually familiar with the show Hollywood um but it is a show um and we know that simply by knowing that this is Hollywood and this is Hollywood a Hollywood ending um which is the the title of the episode um which is different from the title of the show um you could you're still in the game but Harry golden is coming in as a quote-unquote strong co-star or as a guest star however if this is the only time we see him it doesn't feel like this is the only time we're going to see Harry golden it feels like this might have been a preliminary uh round of auditions or that he's a recurring guest star but this is only his first episode okay but I want to keep reading this because there's more here and notice y'all I'm just gonna go and delete this it's funny that you can do that sometimes right um whenever something is marked out that doesn't mean you're not allowed to use it for Clues it means it's just not a part of that audition so off Raymond which by the way they call him Raymond now instead of Rey interesting his world turned right side up okay if his world just turned right side up the truth or the what is that allowed to be true the other side of that coin is up until this moment his world was upside down right we can find that with a lot of these clues that you can this is why I say we use a logical approach to this you can prove it you can prove these things using a logical approach that they just put it in here if his whole world turned right side up in this moment then everything in his life for the past several however long has been upside down we smash the titles okay yes and we do know so smash the titles this is Scene Three ah though the audition is scene too this is the beginning of an episode this is this is before this is what they call a a uh oh I'm getting words this is what they call a teaser I was going to call it a stinger but that's a musical term it's what they call a teaser and so this is what happens to kind of get the audience ready to go and be like oh so we already know that this is going to be filled with a a certain energy that is going to catapult us into the rest of the episode okay I.E oh interior exterior I was like what no I just haven't seen it laid out that way before interior exterior Ace pictures avis's office day so again we're just looking for Clues now close up on avis's name as it's painted on the door pre-lapped popping of champagne okay so while we're looking at the door we hear the sound of a champagne bottle popping inside and then we go inside Avis Yelps as it spills everywhere she tries to fill a tree of flutes as Miss Kincaid dick Raymond and Archie sit around the room so Raymond is there so we can start to assume that this is a continuation of this scene she had Raymond has gone off and told people now they're all celebrating we can start to assume that these people are on his team somehow uh oh yeah and there we go dick the skeptic you don't think this is a bit premature oh dick why can't I have a little fun our passion project is back from the dead I fired every one of those lawyers who stood in my way we're starting fresh give a girl a moment they all take a glass as she raises hers emotional a toast to my late husband who in the end loved what we did to Ace to Ace and there's the name on Ace pictures okay um Avis takes a sip and gets down to business right let's get to it how do we release this movie what's the plan and then dick the skeptic says well there's been a fair amount of hand ringing about this film how this film would be received in the South but I no longer believe that bowing to the pressure is the way to go okay so we just learned some things about the film let's go back up to the top here because remember now we're seeing here's Rey now we're seeing Rey when his life is upside down because this is before he's had it's actually the same scene so this is a it's a continuation of scene two it's just that the audition only happens another clue that this is about Harry golden right because the audition doesn't start until this voice is heard which is the voice of Harry golden so they didn't need to see anything before Harry golden comes in all right um so Ray almost half a million dollars just went up in smoke holy moly all right that was money they weren't even sure they were gonna recoup now we're going to ask them to spend that same amount again never gonna happen as Raymond nears his car he turns to them emotional so he's walking it was an honor working with you we did something important I'm proud of it I'm proud of you jack Burson to tears Jack Archie hold on hold on so Jack and Archie are all here interesting Archie's there but no Jack we reference so now we've got it's not like he has an Entourage who's with him right now it's not like he's turning to the same sorry I know I'm scrolling a lot it's not like he's turning to the same team and saying okay you know Miss Kincaid wasn't there before Dick wasn't there before but Raymond and Archie were so they might not be his team they might be friends they might be uh peers they might be fellow writers but I don't think they're on his team I was not working with you we did something important I'm proud of it I'm proud of you jack burst into tears sorry I just can't stop crying Ray crying now too pulls them both into a huddle Archie starts to stop too damn it y'all got me crying now too a moment then pain to Jack pulls back and walks off he waves saying so long Archie turns to go as well this is the end see you around Raymond Raymond watches them go then heads to his car so there's a lot here we know this is a timepiece a period piece this is the watch we know this is a period piece we know that Rey is one of these serious regulars if not number one on the call sheet he's probably within the top four I would imagine um we know that he has just convinced a company to spend almost half a million dollars which okay so let's go off of what we know we know that Harry golden is puffing a cigar we know that Harry golden is talking about hold on there was another thing in here ah we know that they're filming on film canisters we know that they're at the time of Wizard of Oz there we go that's the only proof that we need right there this is being filmed at the same time as Wizard of Oz which okay somebody out there is going to know this I don't know what your Wizard of Oz was filmed please you know I'm sure I'll be able to read it in the comments later Wizard of Oz I want to say I'm gonna say early 40s but it might have been late 30s that seems really early to me the late 30s but I don't I wish I knew when I do know that Technicolor was a big thing with Wizard of Oz it was the first time where you could see all of the colors in that vibrant of a palette it could be late 30s but I'm gonna guess between 1937 and 1942. I want to just want it like a five-year thing on here either way Wizard of Oz combined with film canisters combined with smoking a cigar we now just got a whole visual okay look at what Henry Golden is wearing yeah look at that look at that beige three-piece suit with complete with a pocket handkerchief look at look at the cut of his hair look at his glasses look at his rotund figure pretty sure did they say that we know that he's out of shape waving Raymond over he says that he's old he could just be old but I'm pretty sure he's a little bit Hefty as well but I could be wrong look it now look at the cars look at your environment around you originally I was picturing them in a parking garage that ain't there no no no they are does it even say on here nope he's just walking to his car he's walking outside of out of studio so anyway all this to be said look at how much that just transforms this if we were if we were anywhere within the past however many years 30 years 40 years half a million dollars in the filmmaking industry would be a bummer like that's but half a million dollars in nineteen I'd be very curious to hear what the budget was for Wizard of Oz I'd be very curious to hear because in 19 late 30s early 40s half a million dollars five hundred thousand dollars that is a ton of money so almost half a million dollars just went up in smoke poof disappeared no way of getting it back that was money they weren't even sure they were going to recoup and now we're going to ask them to spend that same amount again so they were already iffy about us they weren't sure if they were going to recoup they weren't sure if they were going to make that money back they being who they being the producers they being the studio Executives uh and now we're gonna ask them to spend that same and we look at the the juxtaposition between we and them we a ragtag team of guys Ray Jack and Archie are just gonna walk back in there and ask them to do it again nah that's it that's it we had our one chance they put their faith in us and we botched it that's it never gonna happen and that leads to y'all emotion doesn't come from and I I when I read through this the first time I was like oh that is such a tricky clue to put in there because we all have immediate thoughts about emotion is a symptom of obstacle that's it emotion is a symptom of surprise and obstacle so we don't have to play the emotion on this we just have to make sure that Rey is at the end of his path there is nowhere else to go he had the world before him three weeks ago he was ready to buy a convertible and move out to LA and be the next James Dean and today everything is gone he put on a he put a second mortgage on his house he had put his life savings into this he had dedicated the last six months of his life writing this script and it's gone and now I don't have proof of this but this is where we start to justify that this guy stop it this guy is done for then and look this is this is the end of the this is what they call the deus ex machina y'all okay he says see around Raymond this is it that this is the end the writer puts it there in the clearest terms they can possibly muster This is the End period This is the end of the show this is the end of Raymond this is the end as we know it this is and think about your shows that you've watched where they have these internal Cliffhangers where it's less and less common with streaming platforms because you usually release the whole and it's something that people said like around the time that house of cards came out which is one of the first shows to do a streaming platform in which they just released the whole season at once and people were like wait what and they talked about how cool that was that they didn't have to build these they didn't have to worry about putting Cliffhangers into the into the stuff into the into the the story lines which Cliffhangers are really just meant to keep you coming back for more they're meant for the audience to go oh I didn't get an answer I guess I have to tune in next week but they didn't have to worry about that they just got to focus on telling a good story so anyway this is one of those moments where the audience there was probably a probably the end of this last episode was dealt with them getting this crushing blow of sorry boys it's not going to happen and that's it all of our time and emotion that we as an audience have invested into this character and into these stories that has just gone up in smoke at the same time as their 500 or half a million dollars has gone up in smoke so this is now the deus ex machina which in Theatrical terms it means it means machine of the Gods deus ex machina machine of the Gods and it's whenever you're watching a show whenever you're watching uh or a theatrical performance whenever there's something going on and you're like holy moly I'm just gonna throw out a theoretical the killer has finally gotten the upper hand on the on the on the hero of the movie and the killer has them there there is no way that they're gonna get away that's it they close their eyes they're about to get shot they know that this is the end of their life and then of of of of a a cab driver jumps the curb and accidentally kills a pedestrian who just happens to be the Killer and now our hero is safe machine of the Gods deus ex machina and this is what's going on Rey is serving as the Deus Ex machkin in this Rey's story or uh sorry Harry is the deus ex machina Rey is our hero and he's done this is the corporate Beast has come up and has ruined him and there's nothing he can do about it or so we think okay so now that gives us a little bit of interest going or a little bit of perspective going in and figuring out Harry now now Harry doesn't have to be a three-dimensional character he doesn't I mean of course he does but he is serving an archetype right now he is coming in and saving the story he is that cab driver that jumped the curb accidentally and so he is a Golden Ticket he can come in and do whatever the heck he wants because just the fact that he is there the story is going to continue that's it so now we actually have a lot of creative freedom which when I was reading through this the first place I was like why the heck are we starting this character off by starting about stripping someone and how he slept with this other person and cunnilingus and these other things like what other than comedic value what is this adding to the storyline right now it's adding a couple things one it's relieving the tension that the audience has been feeling since last episode it's allowing us to laugh it's allowing us to go wait wait this just took a far left turn what the heck is going on okay um it is actually that might be the most important thing that's going on right now is that this character is coming in and allowing the audience to reset before they get the good news it's also shrouding a little bit of mystery we want to mourn Rey is probably having the same thoughts as us being like what the hell are you talking about who is this guy this rambling madman in front of me um and so but but I guess what I'm getting at if he's the deus ex machina and if his job is just to come in and change the story no matter what he is not effectable he's coming in as a freaking Steamroller and he's just saying here's the story path now which gives us free reign to do whatever the heck we want with Harry golden as long as it serves the text of course okay Raymond Ray we already get it right there I don't know why yet I don't know why it's kind of important though that he calls him by his legal name and then Rey after that again don't know why we're just gonna notate that Raymond turns to see editor Harry golden running toward him puffing a cigar by the way editor first time I read it I thought editor was of a magazine it's not we now know that he is the film editor he is the person who in this day and age would move the the copy along and he's got those glasses that have the multiple lenses on them so he can get really close to looking at the at each frame to make sure it's a good frame and then he lines it up he trims it he puts the tape on it plays it on the spool to make sure it's right he and that's what he does he's used to being in a dark room he probably doesn't get out much um uh he's probably hunched over from the amount of uh from the type of work that he does we're getting that already he's puffing a cigar he probably lives we're probably not going to see any scene in which he doesn't have a cigar in his mouth that's appropriate to the archetype it's also appropriate to the time frame he's way out of breath he stops and puts his hands on us and he's waving Raymond over okay visual take a moment to get a visual is he in a covered facility is in an outdoor parking lot has he taken his jacket off does he still have his jacket on is he wearing that vest where is his watch does he have a pocket watch um what type lenses or what type frames does he have um hint they're not going to be modern in plastic they're going to be it's mostly wire and gold and thin frames back then um which way is this hair parted it's probably slicked down it's probably really really tightly cut um and then he's here and kid get over here okay good um I wanted to tell you something hold on ah I skipped I was like wait wait I just missed something okay I skipped over this Jesus Christ clean out your [ __ ] ears we now know what that means he's been chasing him so that means he's been yelling since back here he saw him from across the the campus from across the production lot and he's been calling him but Rey is so in his head introspective going through shock that he doesn't hear that until that voice is right up on him so now we know that Harry as you're coming in you don't have to wait to get on camera to say Raymond Ray you can you can be yelling that for 15 feet off of camera before you finally catch up because that's actually what's going on in the script Jesus Christ clean out your [ __ ] ears I'm an old man I can't be running I'll drop dead good place to do it I guess this is oh that's what it what just happened there I just did this little red line that's how did you do that oh did you know this if you double click on Words it automatically underlines it oh my gosh is that new I'm learning new things here we go good place to do it I guess I'm still gonna use this I can take that one of two ways does Heather loves his job or he hates his job and we're going to find out what in a second but good place to do it I guess like now I I've worked here for the past 37 years um I started here as a as an intern and now I'm the head editor for the studio whatever like I've dedicated my life to this I've slept here countless nights I've gone through three divorces because of this place like it's it's appropriate that I die here as well that could be one thing or secondly he could hate every single moment that he's here and he would love nothing more than to leave his rotting carcass in the middle of the parking lot so that someone has to come clean it up don't know which but it's there okay he gets his he he gathers himself come on walk with me so he's heading somewhere or he needs to speak in private whatever there might be ears Harry leads him in the other direction okay so away from the building away from where they were um okay I want to tell you something okay this is where it gets interesting so let's see here let's see here I wanted to tell you something remember when I bragged about giving it to Gloria Swanson that was way out of line she's still kicking I've never been one to kiss and tell uh she was on the rebound Joe Kennedy had just dumped her and we never stood up to anyway it's just straight up cunnilingus as they arrive at the car is that what you want to tell me all right why the heck does that appear here why we're going to come back to this because I need to see if it relates to something is there a reason why he's bringing up Gloria there's Avis we just saw Ava somewhere else we saw Avis down here is it Avis Kincaid hold on Avis Kincaid Miss Kincaid is Avis yep close up sorry I know I'm jumping all around close up on Avis name as his painted on the door Avis Kincaid Ace pictures avis's Office boom okay great so you can ask you a question Avis is full control of the studio now right she can't that some [ __ ] lawyer yeah good what's that that's your movie what do you mean they've earned it okay hold up okay here there's something I have to figure out it has to do with the lawyer it has to do with this and I don't know how yet Okay so Harry needed to make sure that Avis and this so what I'm doing right now y'all is I'm working backwards and this can be helpful in a script where like if you know where somebody ended up you have a better chance of unraveling and figuring out where they were coming from or what pathway they took in order to get there so either we have two options either this is a complete non-sequitur and this is just here because this guy is just a a probably probably a white heterosexual male from the eight late 30s early 40s who just is quote unquote Invincible in this time and so he can just show up and talk talk about his sexual Escalades and other stuff for no good reason or it has something to do with the lawyer so let's see if we can prove that this does have something to do with the lawyer so Avis has full control of the studio now right she canned that some [ __ ] lawyer my first thought is that the lawyer is Gloria Swanson however and this is a bummer but however knowing the time frame I'm pretty sure that someone with the name of Gloria Swanson is probably not going to be a lawyer at that time but I might prove myself wrong here so then it makes me want to come to is the lawyer Joe Kennedy is he thinking about Joe Kennedy and he's about to ask if Avis canned Joe Kennedy but while he's thinking about that he also has to clear some other mental refuse out of his mind that revolves around Joe Kennedy so let's see if that makes sense got to ask you a question Avis is full control the studio now right she can she can to Joe Kennedy right let's put that into place look I want to tell you something remember I bragged about giving it to Gloria Swanson that was way out of line she's still kicking I've never been to one to kiss and tell she was on the rebound Joe Kennedy had just dumped her it would never stripped anyway it was straight up cunnilingus so we've got our ellipses here he was Harry was prepared to tie that together Harry was he was on his way there but they got interrupted they got to the car and Ray says wait wait what what are you talking about and so then he has to jump through the rest of his story in order to get to the meat of it is so what was this ellipses going to be was he gonna say like that that was way online she's still kicking I've never been one to kiss and tell either that's a fabrication because he did kiss and tell like I'm not a person to kiss and tell either and if you ever heard me kissing and telling then all of a sudden I'm no longer that person like this is one of those things that like you can't be like oh I never do this but no you did it so now you are that person right um so is he saying he did this in order to get back at Joe Kennedy is he saying he did this because Joe Kennedy was not a good person is he saying that some [ __ ] lawyer just dumped Gloria Swanson and I saw my opportunity to come in and make it even more if Joe Kennedy had wanted to get back into a relationship with Gloria Swanson I'm going to make it that much more difficult for him could it be that it could be I'm kind of grasping at straws with that because there's very little information around this section that ties up with lawyer and I might be I'm not completely comfortable with that yet that marks off some of the checks some of the things but it doesn't it's not airtight this is interesting that he starts both of these things with I wanted to tell you something and gotta ask you a question that makes me that allows me to think that he is looking to make the same point at each of these it's not like he starts telling a story it's not like he left this out and started the story with remember when I bragged about giving it to Gloria Swanson and then gets into gotta ask you a question all right I was off track here I gotta ask you a question no he almost starts each of these with I need some information from you and I'm getting to my point which makes me think that these are connected remember when I bragged about giving it to Glorious okay so either Joe Kennedy is not a good person and Gloria Swanson and everything about that revolved around the idea that Harry just has a real issue with this guy or there's something else hidden in the ellipses straight up cuddling this is that what you wanted to tell me there's also something to be noted there's something to be noted that after Rey calls on Harry and says whoa hey what the heck are you talking about that Harry doesn't continue on with that story but the first thing that he says if we get past the god ask you a question which already we've already kind of proven is just a yeah he says that before he gets into the the meat of what he wants to say the first thing he says is Avis that's a silly little arrow I'm gonna double click it oh that's a fun little trick oh no oh no there we go I hate this not Mrs Kincaid not Widow Kincaid Miss Kincaid okay uh but Avis did Harry have a relationship with Avis before and now ooh ooh now that a now that Harry has rescued the film canisters and might be working on this project again with Avis he wants to make sure that his previous sexual escapades are not just widely out there in the world so what if he starts by telling this story in order to save himself oh my God I just saw this little my my finger just popped up like this and I freaked myself out I thought oh my gosh there's someone in the doorway I thought I was here alone um what if he's telling the story in order to give himself a better chance of getting back with Avis this changes things so now Harry shows up and goes hey you remember when I backed about giving it to Old Gloria Swanson right that was that was way out of line she's still kicking I've never been one to kiss and tell she was on the rebound Joe Kennedy just dumped her we never look we never even stopped anyway you know it was just straight up cunnilingus that was it it was yep it was impartial whatever that that checks all the boxes for me and now and it's it's hitting those comedic boxes it's allowing this guy to sound like he's going off on a tangent for no reason it's it is being tied back to the first thing that he says is I'm in love with Avis because she's the first thing comes to mind once he actually gets back on track but now he has to double check before it's a moot point if Avis hasn't fired the sumbitch lawyer there we go it's not about the lawyer I was wrong it's about Avis that's why he's here I mean he wants to save the film too but that's why he's talking about all of this is that what you want to tell me gotta ask you a question she has full control of the studio now right and she she canned that some [ __ ] lawyer so if I bring something to you that lawyer isn't going to start poking his nose in there and saying ah you guys already screwed up once and blah blah and Ray doesn't quite know yeah she she did yeah like he this so far Rey is just dealing with the ramblings of a Madman he's like talking about cunnilingus and he's talking about then jumping to lawyers speaking it's like what the hell and like right before this is he's probably still smoking his cigar he's probably right he's still out of breath he's red-faced and and taking his dabbing off his sweat every two seconds all right so Rey doesn't know what the heck to think and here he goes good with that lawyer gone everything falls into place we're gonna have a job again I have a chance to be closer to Avis again I'm Gonna Pop the trunk of my ah okay so when he says he leads him the other direction he wasn't just leading him to a building he was leading him toward his car he knew exactly where he was going he was walking him toward the car the whole time inside his effect of film canisters what's that and for anyone who doesn't know what a film canister is go look it up I also wonder if there's any can they be left in the heat I wonder if this gives us any clues into what time of the year it is and I don't know I don't know if the film canister is left in the heat in a car in sweltering I assume this is all oh duh this is Hollywood I was gonna say I assume this is La um like would he know better than to leave it in the car for too long if it's 90 degrees outside so does that mean that it's not 90 degrees outside does that mean that it's winter does that mean that it's spring um inside of film canisters what's that that's your movie boom that's that is the moment that the audience has been waiting to hear that is it up until now they just like Ray have been listening to gibberish gibberish and funny gibberish but gibberish but this is the moment that the whole audience goes so we have to make sure that we honor that moment this is what they needed that's your movie what what do you mean they they burned it oh that's interesting they burned it which is interesting because if it is a physical copy did they show a scene of this this this makes me question what we saw at the end of the last episode did they show a scene of burning it did an executive nor the last thing we saw was them putting it on a card and taking it to the furnace room or what did we see an executive pulling Rey aside and saying Mister whatever your name is I don't think we even have it here now we've got Raymond and Rey but we don't know um but did we see someone I'm gonna call him Smith did we see somebody step by and say Mr Smith it has been burned there is nothing more that we need of you thank you very much and sends him out coldly right I don't know but either way Rey has convinced that they burned it okay now this can be important I made a print ah so they did burn it we probably did see them burn it but they he made a print why did he make a print Because he believes in it because he knows that there's something special about this because he is an editor and it is his job to go through and look at stuff frame by frame and he knows instantly the difference between Wizard of Oz and something that should be on the cutting Rim floor and he says no no no this needs to be seen by the world I made a print and I took it home so this is a copy holy moly when that slimy piece of garbage Henry Wilson started [ __ ] with it I knew I had to make a copy of your cut for safekeeping so guys okay we are much this is this is no longer I was up to this point I was thinking this was just like a paper draft I was thinking that they had been green lit and maybe we're in pre-production and maybe had filmed some test footage or whatever no the movie was done done that's why they say movie right it's not just that's your footage that's [Music] that's your movie this is Rey went through and they already edited Rey and Harry already edited this whole thing got it to the version that they liked and then some producer came through and wanted to put his stamp on it and he jacked it all up but before he did that Harry said nope I know this guy he's gonna come and he's going to screw with this I'm gonna make a duplicate and he's been sitting on that I knew I had to make a copy of your cut for safekeeping your vision of this did the same thing for Wizard of Oz oh this is after Wizard of Oz okay so this might firmly be I need to F right after this I'm going to look up and see when Wizard of Oz was released but he's saying yeah I did it for yours I did the same thing for Wizard of Oz I'm the reason why Somewhere Over the Rainbow is in the movie look at that like that's what he's saying idiot producer wanted to cut Somewhere Over the Rainbow if you can believe it I made a print took it home it stayed in the picture and again here's that ellipses he was ready to go off on a tangent and tell this story again it stayed in the picture because then I went off and I I showed it to I showed it to the boss and I said hey boss you know whatever that is there is proof there that he was ready to tell that story as well but he doesn't and Rey Cuts him off you stop talking for a second you you know what this means don't you yeah I do kid you're still in the game our fragment has World turned upside down we smashed to titles oh my gosh okay I think that's it I don't sometimes I come sometimes we have like conspiracy theories we're like oh my gosh they're both they're both carrier pigeons and one of them has the Bubonic plague and that's not what no this doesn't need that this there is so much historical context to this and also because of because it's a period piece because of the time frame we don't necessarily need to have one of the reasons why I came up with the conspiracy theory is because of familiarity starts to muddy the immediacy of something that's affecting us right now if you know that you have survived a really terrible thing or if you have a friend that survived a really terrible thing and you go to access that as an actor it's not going to serve you quite the same way in my opinion because you also part of your brain also knows that you survived that your friend survived that you made it out and yes there might be other things that you're dealing with but ultimately you are still alive and one of the reasons why I like to find conspiracy theories with stuff is because these people do not have the benefit of hindsight they are in it right now and so looking to find those ways of heightening this world so that as we go through this we are able to dedicate ourselves to it 100 110 percent so I will with all that said I as I was thinking I was like that's true for if we were looking at Rey that'd be true we kind of just found it but we're not we're looking at Harry so there is one thing I'd like to throw at this like look at look at what Harry's doing he rescues abandoned children he rescues film canisters in need when they're Worthy you know he also knows when the movie's not worth it and he'll he'll let it go down the chain but he knows when it's worthy and he saves it so then that starts to make me think about it makes me makes the third make honestly makes me start to think of Harriet Tubman a person who their mission was to help people in need find safety despite the risks despite knowing that their lives were on the line and if we put that back into Harry Golden's world I think there can be you know there there's a reason why he tracked him down in the in the parking lot rather than inside the building there's a reason why he waited until this moment there's a reason why he waited until they had severed ties with whatever Production Studio had done it before there's a reason why that might even justify yeah this is this is a leap I was gonna say that might even be why he doesn't start talking about the film canisters right away is because he wants to make sure there's no one on his tail I don't think that's I don't think that's it I think it's more interesting and more powerful if we make it about Avis but these are his babies he dedicates all of his time to this which now that comes back to good place to do it I guess he does have fun this is this is his this is where he saves he has saved so many children from here yeah okay I think for me this is where it's time to get up on its feet this was this was lovely there are so many clues in this without beating anyone overhead there's so many clues in here with the ellipses and the subtle references look at how they weaved Wizard of Oz into here without it feeling like they're intentionally trying to give away information and look at how they threw out avis's first name that's that's brilliant that would have changed a lot of things if he had said miskincade I would have changed a lot of things but they said aphis yeah passion project back from the dead I fired every one of those lawyers who stood in my way yeah so this is where we have just this is a new chapter of this show the lawyers are all gone the the the obstacle as it were is gone and now the audience has the opportunity to go thank God that's over now we get to start now what's next and Harry golden was the deus ex machina that delivered that pretty cool I really like this I would enjoy getting this up on its feet and finding that physicality and finding that the the
