6 Things Actors Should Know About Link.actor

Drawn from what is actually said on camera, so you can decide whether to spend the 3:20 watching it.

Your link is your username dot link dot actor

The tool gives you a single URL built from your username, formatted as username.link.actor. You paste that into the one link slot on your social media profile and it is live. Web For Actors members already have access to it as part of their membership.

Stop choosing between IMDb, Twitter and your site

Social platforms give you one link, which normally forces a choice between your IMDb profile, a social channel or your website. A link.actor page holds all of them in one place, so a single click gives visitors the whole map of your career online.

The domain itself tells people you are an actor

Because the URL ends in .actor, anyone who sees it knows roughly what they are about to open before they click. That clarity is part of the pitch: it reads as an acting career page, not a generic link list.

Three templates, with call to action links at the top

There are three templates to choose from. The default layout puts your photo at the top, then Call Me and Email Me call to action buttons, then your website link, then any additional links you have listed, and finally your social media links.

Hide any link you do not want shown

To drop a link from the page, go to Profile, then Links, and uncheck the ones you want gone. Facebook is a checkbox and items like Acting News are a toggle. You can also change the hover color of your links from the link.actor section of your admin page.

Mark a video as your demo reel to make it appear

One of the other templates displays your reel automatically on the page. If nothing shows up, go to Files, then Videos, find the video, click to edit it and mark it as a demo reel.
